Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Effective: 20 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
Trimurti Systems (the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act, 2023) operates TradeYantra.
2nd Floor, Trimurti, Opposite Jain Society, Godhra, District Panchmahals, Gujarat 389001, India
privacy@tradeyantra.com
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
2. The most important thing in this policy
We never receive your broker credentials.
On the Connected plan your broker API keys are entered into a desktop application on your own computer and stored there in the Windows Credential Manager, encrypted by Windows against your user account. They are not transmitted to us, not stored by us, and we have no technical means of accessing them. What passes between our servers and that application is trading instructions and their results — which stop and target orders should exist, and confirmation of what was placed.
We also do not hold your payment card or UPI mandate. Those are held by Razorpay.
3. What we collect, and why
| Data | Why we have it | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, mobile number | To create and secure your account, verify it by OTP, and contact you about the service | Performance of our contract with you |
| Broker name and broker account identifier | To match your trades and show you the right plan and setup instructions | Contract |
| Your trades, orders, holdings and their history | To compute your position sizing, risk, stops, targets, costs and records — the service itself | Contract |
| Formulas, stances and parameters you create | To run your method | Contract |
| Journal notes, links and images you add | Because you chose to store them | Consent |
| Subscription and billing records | To provide the service, and for tax and accounting obligations | Contract and legal obligation |
| Usage and device information, IP address, logs | Security, fraud prevention, diagnosing faults | Legitimate use |
| Support correspondence | To answer you and improve the service | Contract |
| Questions you ask the Ask TradeYantra assistant or formula builder, and its answers | To answer you; questions it could not answer are reviewed by our support team to improve our help content | Contract |
We do not collect your broker password, PIN, TOTP seed, API secret, card number or UPI credentials.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the service is not offered to minors.
4. How we use it
To operate the service, verify your identity, take payment, provide support, keep the service secure, meet legal obligations, and tell you about changes to the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your trades, formulas or strategies with anyone. We do not operate a strategy marketplace, and we do not publish or license what you create.
Where we analyse usage to improve the product, we use aggregated and de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you or your strategy.
5. Where your data is held
| Public website and static assets | Amazon Web Services, Asia Pacific (Mumbai) — ap-south-1, India |
| Application data and database | our own servers at Godhra, Gujarat, India |
| Answers from the Ask TradeYantra assistant | generated by Anthropic in the United States (see §6) |
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the following processors, only as needed, and under contract:
| Processor | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Payment processing and mandates | Name, email, mobile, payment method (held by them, not us) |
| Amazon Web Services | Website and file hosting | Data you access through the site |
| Zoho | Email delivery | Name, email address, message content |
| Airtel (DLT) | SMS and OTP delivery | Mobile number, message content |
| MSG91 | Sending the one-time code that verifies your mobile number | Mobile number, one-time code |
| Cloudflare (Turnstile) | Telling people from automated abuse on the demo request form | IP address and browser signals |
| Anthropic, PBC (United States) | Generating answers in the Ask TradeYantra assistant and formula builder | Your question; for a question about your own account, the account data needed to answer it (for example your open trades, their stops and your strategy settings). |
| Meta Platforms (WhatsApp) | Service messages on WhatsApp, where you asked for them | Mobile number, message content |
We may also disclose data where required by law, court order or a lawful request from a public authority, and to advisors or auditors under confidentiality.
Transfer outside India. When you use the Ask TradeYantra assistant or the formula builder, your question — and, for a question about your own account, the account data needed to answer it — is sent to Anthropic in the United States to generate the answer, as permitted under the DPDP Act. Using the assistant is optional; if you do not use it, nothing is sent. If we transfer personal data outside India for any other purpose, we will do so only as permitted under the DPDP Act and will update this policy first.
We count visits to our public website and to our apps (sign-in and the TradeYantra app) with Umami, analytics software we run on our own servers. It sets no cookies, sends nothing to a third party and never records your name, email address or mobile number. Pages are counted without the part of the address after "?", and browsers that send Do Not Track are not counted. In the apps we also count a few setup steps, such as signup completed, history imported or parameters saved, with only your plan type and broker name attached.
7. How long we keep it
| Account, trade and strategy data | While your account is open, and for 12 months after closure so you can return without losing your history |
| Billing and tax records | As long as Indian tax and accounting law requires |
| Support correspondence | 24 months |
| Security logs | 12 months |
| Ask TradeYantra conversations | 180 days after the last message, then deleted. Records of what each question cost us are kept for accounting, without anything that identifies you |
You may ask us to erase your data sooner — see §8. We will do so except where we must keep records by law.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may:
- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed
- Correct — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, updated or completed
- Erase — have your data erased where it is no longer needed and no law requires us to keep it
- Nominate — nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapable
- Grievance redressal — complain to us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied
- Withdraw consent — where processing rests on consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out
You can also export your trade history and holdings at any time from within the product, without asking us.
To exercise a right, raise a ticket from your account — which lets us confirm the request comes from you — or write to privacy@tradeyantra.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account yourself. In your profile, choose Delete my account. This cancels your plan and deletes your trading data, support tickets, Ask TradeYantra conversations and sign-in history. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires. We also keep your email address, mobile number and broker account identifier on a closed login, so that a free period is not given twice; everything else on that login is cleared.
9. Security
- Transport encryption (HTTPS) for all traffic between you and the service
- Broker credentials never leave your own machine, and are held there in the OS credential store
- Payment details handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see a card number
- Access to production systems limited to those who need it
- Secrets held outside application code, never in source control
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage that are necessary for the service to work — keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and maintaining security. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Our website and apps count visits with Umami, which we run on our own servers. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
